hether you like to truly “rough it” or enjoy a few luxuries, we have what you are looking for at Greenbrier Campground in the Smoky Mountains. Our camping island, or second island as we like to call it, is truly a one-of-a-kind experience. We offer six beautiful spots directly on the river with water and electric service. There are no facilities on the island but they are only a short walk away. Vehicles are not allowed on the camping island, but the parking area is about 50 yards away and can accommodate one car per site. Also enjoy yard games, play ground, game room, laundry facility, and camp store on the main island. Island camping is “weather permitting” due to the location on the river. We will request that you move to another location if there is a chance of flooding. This area is closed for 2020.
On the main island, our tent camping area on the grass has nine sites with water and electric. These sites are closer to the facilities and parking is allowed close to your site. This is a great option for groups. Regardless of the area you choose, you are only a short walk to the water as we are surrounded by the Little Pigeon River at Greenbrier Campground.
Our riverfront tent section, includes fifteen tent sites with river views, water and electric. There is plentiful parking in this area and it is close to the new bath house and laundry facility. There are four sites accessible by foot or golf cart that are closer to the water.
Tent pads are located at each site and they are 16 x 16 in size. We request that all tents be set up on the pads. You may put an easy up on the grass or other pop up items. We do not allow car camping.
