Safety Tips

Prioritizing safety helps ensure your Smokies camping trip is worry-free and a smooth, enjoyable experience. Always supervise your children when near bodies of water and use life jackets if needed. Fires should only be built in designated campfire rings and fully put out before going to bed. Keep tents and other belongings a safe distance away from fires. Make sure your kids know not to feed wildlife or get up to close. Keep all your food stored so it can’t be accessed by animals. Bring a first-aid kit and plenty of clothing layers so that you’re prepared for any type of weather.
